Our Study Group Space -
This is a LIVE monthly group
(every second Thursday evening)
meeting via Zoom
Delve into the profound philosophical wisdom of ancient China with a deep dive into the timeless text that has influenced thinkers and seekers for centuries. This contemplative study group centers around the rich tapestry of teachings found in Laozi's classical work, the Tao Te Jing. Unpacking its poetic verse, we will attempt to explore the nature of the cosmos, the flow of qi in the universe, human behavior and the essence of virtue. Each month our sessions invite us to engage with the text's layered themes, including the principles of wu-wei, simplicity, humility, and harmony with the Tao.
Confront the daily grind with a calm centeredness, bring balance to personal and professional relationships, and develop a resilient mindset influenced by the serene wisdom of the ancients. By reflecting on this poetic counsel together, we'll cultivate not just an intellectual understanding, but a lived inquiry with these teachings, helping us to navigate the complexities of contemporary existence with grace and equanimity.
What we will learn
When crafting this contemplative journey, I really focused on the unique value that tapping into ancient wisdom can bring to our modern lives. Our time together will ease us into the profound philosophy of Lao Zi at a comfortable pace, as if we're unfolding the pages of a timeless treasure together. Through meditation, contemplative exercises, engaging discussions, reflective inquiry, and integrative processes, you'll connect with these teachings more intimately, helping to nurture an inner peace that is both grounding and transformative.
I can't wait to study with you!

Kelly Chambers has been studying Chinese Medicine for almost 20 years. As a clinician, focusing on Taoist approaches to health and well-being, Kelly utilizes several modalities of care and works holistically for the integration of mind/body and spirit. She also recognizes the power and necessity of highlighting self healing principles in all of her consultations and treatments. Over the past 10 years, Kelly has also become quite interested in the process of deep relation; with ourselves, each other, our ancestors, our cultures and collectives, this beautiful earth, and that which is mysterious and beyond. This has become a source of inspiration and discovery in Kelly's awareness and embodiment of healing and healing potentials.
One of Kelly's passions and commitments is passing on what she has learned. She has been teaching movement and meditation arts, in one form or another, for more than 30 years. Currently, she loves taking what is most accessible and beneficial about Chinese Medicine and sharing it with the world (for both patient and practitioner), so that we might better meet our specific wellness needs while simultaneously uncovering our greatest potential in caring for all of humanity and its place in the cosmos. She continues to share her process in healing through Groups and Trainings ( via www.hyphaedu.org ) online and all over the United States.
When not working or studying, you can find Kelly simply enjoying family and nature or playing with creative exploration.
